Re: Number of active clients Jumped by 7 ??
Since V7 is a complete rewrite, it counts clients differently - note that the concept of 'machine id' doesn't exist in V7. So if you convert a client on one PC that was machine id 1 in V6, it will become slot 1 on that computer in V7. So the stats page counts that as TWO clients in the last 7 or 50 ...

Re: 171.67.108.25 down-resoved
I looked back in a prior log and found that I had a message that 6517(15, 170, 45) was detected as a bad work unit when it was 29% complete. That MIGHT have been around the time I upgraded to a new client, so I assume this one was 'user error'. I've deleted the work folder for it.

Except this server wasn't listed in that news item, and according to the news item the problem with those other servers is resolved.

Re: P11020 immediate EUE
You're running with -smp 7. I had the same problem with this project 11020. It can't handle -smp 7 - you have to use -smp 8 or -smp 6.

Re: Low PPD with i7 720QM & ATI HD5870
I have a similar setup with an I7 740QM and an ATI 5750. I have my SMP client running with -smp7 and get anywhere from 3000 - 4000 PPD, depending on the WU, and get about 1100 PPD with the GPU client. I got about 1000 less PPD when I let the SMP client run with all 8 cores. Changint the Environment ...

Re: Marking all threads in all forums as read
Within any particular forum, near the top of the page there is a 'Mark topics read" phrase. If you click on it, then every 'thread' will be marked as read. In the Home Page, near the top, there is a similar phrase in about the same position to "Mark Forums read" - THAT one will mark E...

You only need the -local flag if you're running multiple clients on the same computerA_gamer wrote: Edit: Unless I use the -local flag, right? I haven't used it in my Vista clients.
