I have chilled water, send the servers to me
It's been 20 minutes since I read your post, and I am still chuckling!

They really should build more data centers in Norway :ewink: Free chilled water most of the year!

Re: Autism & F@H

I have found recruiting less tech savvy people for folding to be mitigated quite a bit with RealVNC or one of it's many other incarnations. At least as long as you are willing to be the tech support guy all the time

Re: Need Help With Lost Team Password

Sorry Cheetos, I had been away from the forum for a few days, and didn't see your post till today. I think, like me, you are going to need help from a Pande Group member. I would try a PM to dlucent, or maybe Bruce could route you to someone who can help. I just went back to this page http://fah-web...

Re: Unable to get GPU to fold

I'm with PantherX and Nathan_P, it seems driver related. However, I would also check your Folding installation on that computer, and double check your starting flags. I realize you have gotten those cards to work on other machines, so you do know how to set up F@H, but sometimes the devil is in the ...

Re: Unable to get GPU to fold

When you say " I installed all new components in a different case " does this mean you are using a motherboard with a chipset that is different from the original one that your HP Vista was running on? If true there could be many issues, especially with hardware like video cards, and their ...

Re: Project: 6067 (Run 0, Clone 72, Gen 45)

Reconfiguring the client with a different machine ID can also persuade the assignment server to give out a different WU. Just make sure you don't conflict with any other clients you are running

Re: Can't find client download.

Next time it happens instead of this:
http://www.stanford.edu/~friedrim/.Fold ... ay-632.msi

try this:
http://171.67.216.13/~friedrim/.Folding ... ay-632.msi

For this download it would bypass any DNS problems you are having, and just go directly to Stanford's server.

Re: No credit given for [2682]

@Grandpa_01, Anyone can have a log, but if you were lucky enough to have a recent backup, you also have the work unit itself to send in to prove you did the work. I was looking at one of your previous posts here and I noticed that you run SMP as a service. I was curious as to how you ran the service...

Re: Omg Just kill it

Glad to hear you want to keep Folding. For future reference in Windows 7 to locate a file running as a process: 1. Start Task Manager 2. Find process you want to get rid of 3. Right click on it, select "Open File Location" Once you are there, as others have said, do not simply delete the f...

Re: ATI or Nvidia?

Seems you are capable of much more than 1,000 a day. Just the other day you hit 2,399 :)

How many hours a day do you let it Fold? And are you gaming during any of that time?

Re: Need Help With Lost Team Password

@ codysluder, Agreed wholeheartedly, passwords should always be case sensitive  Unfortunately, on that page, the required answers for Team Founder, and Founder Email are case sensitive as well, as I have found out. If that isn't changed, I would recommend new users to use all lower case for th...

Re: Need Help With Lost Team Password

I have some basic questions on how this page ( http://fah-web.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/changeteam.pl ) works.... Are the answers Case-Sensitive? None of my answers seem to work. And will any ONE wrong answer cause ALL these messages to come up together? Sorry - the founder username does not match our re...

Re: Need Help With Lost Team Password

The web form seems to work correctly now....but my answers do not. I am afraid whatever problems were there yesterday, this is now a problem of operator error. It seems I don't know the Founder Name that I used when I started the team I have tried the two possibles from my team roster and neither on...

Re: Need Help With Lost Team Password

Thanks for responding, Professor Pande and Bruce :) It seems that I no longer get the error message...... However I still can not administer my team info :( If an e-mail with the info could be sent to the original registered address that would help greatly. I am not sure which address I used to regi...
