Using a VPN at a hotel, I cannot access v8-4.foldingathome.org without it giving me a never-ending captcha loop. Because the web client is almost totally static, relying almost entirely on a websocket to the local client and having nothing of interest to scrapers or bots, there isn't much reason to put it behind a very aggressive WAF. Could the WAF sensitivity for app.foldingathome.org and v8-4.foldingathome.org be decreased?
I could compile the web client myself and use it locally but many users will not know how to do that.

That’s something you need to ask on github.
Maybe in a discussion instead of issue ticket.
Meanwhile, your phone should work fine.
