I am hesitant to complain, but the web control isn't working consistently for me and this has been extremely frustrating.
I have upgraded my 20+ headless machines from v7 to v8.3.18 (version available for download from the foldingathome.org website) in the past few weeks.
Often I get API errors and cannot login or logout. I thought I saw a command line guide somewhere (for ssh control) but now can't find it. "fah-client --help" didn't get me to where I need to be.
I had previously written my own log collector/parser (before giving up and using HFM). Is it time to write my own again? I need a reliable local monitor/control solution. I have money to pay for equipment and electricity, but don't have much time (due to my job requirements) to deal with these issues.

You could try 8.4.9 (it's very stable and has a lot of features that HFM had for v7):
https://foldingathome.org/beta/
Also, I use Nomachine for seeing my other systems.

Re: local/remote reomote
Please complain away.
There are currently reliability problems with remotes. The causes are still being tracked down.
There are existing command line tools:
- included with v8.4.4+ on Linux and macOS: https://github.com/FoldingAtHome/fah-cl ... pts/fahctl
- https://github.com/kbernhagen/lufah
If your network is trusted, you can allow insecure direct access.
No official api docs yet, but here are some interesting links
