It seems that a lot of GPU problems revolve around specific versions of drivers. Though NVidia has their own support structure, you can often learn from information reported by others who fold.
I'm trying to fold with my GeForce GT 415M, it is showing as ready but not starting. I'm wondering if this is a server / connection issue since I'm seeing connection issues in the log or if its due to the fact that this GPU is not supported and set to Beta. Here is the log:

The GT 415M is based on a Fermi series GPU chip. It only supports OpenCL 1.1+, the current requirements for the GPU folding core s OpenCL 1.2. In addition it is below the required level of CUDA support, that requires at least a Kepler series chip.
At this point the card has not been blacklisted, but given its not meeting requirements is shunted off to a non-routing IP address so it does not get connected to an actual work server.

Your card is 11 years old and was an entry level laptop GPU when introduced. As stated it fails to meet the prerequisites to even start a Work Unit. If it could start one, it lacks enough memory to complete one. And if you could complete a WU, it would be nine times slower than the slowest GPU I know will finish all WUs before the deadlines. (GT 1030)
Do not stress over this one, there will be no trick to make it work. Nvidia does not even make drivers for it any more. The last was in November 2014.

A friend to those who want no friends
Being forward thinking, I would encourage to start with GTX 1650 Super or greater; as a GT 1030 may soon become too slow to finish WUs (at the rate we're evolving).
In fact, RTX GPUs are recommended.
Thanks for your feedback everyone. In this case I''l let this old laptop with the GT 415 do CPU folding and I'll do some GPU WU from time to time on my newer desktop which has a Radeon RX 5700 XT .
