upgrading the client

Post by Horza49 »

As a complete novice, I've been running running 7.5x from shortly after covid got serious; for upgrading to 7.6, do I need to finish the current jobs on a machine first, or will it automatically pick up from a pause?

Welcome to the F@H Forum Horza49,

If you pause the client and upgrade it, it should pick-up without issues in most cases. In other cases, it might cause issues and that would happen if your existing configuration uses a password for remote connection.

If you're in doubt, you can perform a clean installation where you uninstall and select the option to delete the files (ensure that you have the username/passkey/team stored in plain text) and then install the new version and set it up as per your needs.
