There are big differences (30%) in the PPD my PC can achieve, depending on the type of WU.
My PC is obviously highly sub-optimal for some types of WU.
Is it possible to select/reject WUs based on how well my PC can process them?

No. You can only select the size of the WU. If your PPD is better with the smaller Wus (main is), configure your client to receive small WUs. Other options are normal and big WUs. I'm talking for the console client. System tray client only have option to allow big WUs.

Re: Possible to select specific WU types?
Standford sends out the WUs in the order that best moves the science of the project forward. The time sensitive and serial nature of the work units also goes against WU selection as an option. Sorry.

Re: Possible to select specific WU types?
This is not the correct interpretation. Even on the same hardware some WU will take longer than others, and thus show a difference in the PPD gained. If you look at the deadlines and points awarded you will see that this is the expected behaviour.2.718 wrote:There are big differences (30%) in the PPD my PC can achieve, depending on the type of WU.
