FahMon (multi-platform app to monitor various F@h clients)

Re: FahMon (multi-platform app to monitor various F@h clients)
Sorry to report that I'm seeing no difference regarding the problem.
GPU clients are still not showing up in the benchmarks and thus have an ETA of the current time and no PPD.
SMP clients do show up in the benchmarks and their ETA and PPD are fine.
I did delete the .fahmon folder and re-input all the clients but that didn't help either.
I tried doing the compile on a different machine (also Ubuntu 8.04) but the program crashed even though it compiled and intalled fine. Will send the debug report from that one.
Crash was fixed by deleting .fahmon and re-inputting clients, so ignore that one please.

Re: FahMon (multi-platform app to monitor various F@h clients)
The broken GPU log parsing is now fixed in SVN (extra whitespace after converting to UTF8 was the culprit).
Re: FahMon (multi-platform app to monitor various F@h clients)
Thanks very much UF. Great work!
I do indeed have the latest FAHMON svn working and showing the ETA and PPD for the GPU clients.

Hi,
Windows FahMon v2.3.4 is a very nice program. FWIW, there are only three very minor things I'd like to see improved.
The ability to remember the location of the Messages window between restarts (it already remembers the size of the Messages window).
An option to stop FahMon from popping up from behind other windows when it refreshes (or wait until WU is 100 percent complete).
Prevent the top half of the GUI from being dragged down or squished when the log viewer or main GUI is vertically resize.
Thanks.

All clients stopped due to Stanford's upcoming September 2011 decision
Re: FahMon (multi-platform app to monitor various F@h clients)
I am having an issue updating the database with the new WU information. I followed the directions here: http://trac.fahmon.net/wiki/HowToFahinfoProjectList but it still shows unknown for the 5902,5903 units.

Re: FahMon (multi-platform app to monitor various F@h clients)
Didn't read all previous posts, came into the thread at this time to ask why projects listed on psummary correctly are not parsed and added correctly. I think fahMon doesn't use psummary directly but a file from your own server which is derived from it but again if there is no current mention of the project and I select to download the new file shouldn't an empty entry just be added? Or does the internal db has an entry but one which is not correct or complete which causes the 'new projects' option to discard the new info?
Think this a qd.dat issue but I'm not familiar enough with it to answer my own question sorry, hence asking you. I'm using fahmon to see if my own class is giving the same results and as I do parse the page directly I don't have the issue.
@hawkeye, I do have the info for 5902 but not for 5903, 5902 was an active project when I added that client to fahmon, 5903 is a new project which started after it was already running, but it didn't update itself. I restarted fahmon two times, after selecting to download new projects but that didn't help. Maybe if I deleted the entire wu record and reinstalled fahmon over itself it would also work but I'm more curieus in why it's not working as I would expect.

Re: FahMon (multi-platform app to monitor various F@h clients)
The unknown message will only be about the core name, since that hasn't been updated (yet) in the built-in tables. FahMon does use psummary direct from Stanford but it only adds entries which are formatted correctly (it logs bad entries). The queue.dat shouldn't be an issue here (i.e. the PRCG has already been determined properly).

I get Unkown listing for points on 5903 only, same with preferd and final deadline?uncle_fungus wrote:The unknown message will only be about the core name, since that hasn't been updated (yet) in the built-in tables. Want a screenshot or some files? I don't understand how it has no issues with 5902 and seems to not display 5903

If you update the projects list again does it work? The psummary entry about that WU appears to be correctly formatted.

Re: FahMon (multi-platform app to monitor various F@h clients)
I done so twice, restarted fahmon to create the same circumstance which lead it to display 5902 correctly from the start. It was an active project when I added that client, 5903 was a project which was loaded into fahmon after the client was added and finished it's then current wu.
I'll do it once again, but I serieusly doubt it would suddenly work now
Edit: nope still listed as unknow points and deadlines. I did already check psummary and saw it was there. Also, I parse it directly and it had no issues with it mentioned that before. It also just completed one 5903 and started a new one, and it still didn't pick it up. 5902 has no such issues.
Sorry I'm using the dutch langauge.
I'll quit fahmon, rename projects.dat and try again.

I wonder if you're seeing a manifestation of the same bug bollix reported at the top if this page.

Re: FahMon (multi-platform app to monitor various F@h clients)
After renaming the dat file and starting again, it download new projects but now shows unkown for both 5902 and 5903.
Edit: disregard, I was still using the other summary page for new projects

Re: FahMon (multi-platform app to monitor various F@h clients)
The Pande Group has had a problem getting projects 59xx to appear in the project summary. I heard it might have been fixed a few hours ago but have not checked. Any discussion about why that information was unknown in the past has nothing to to with FahMon.

Re: FahMon (multi-platform app to monitor various F@h clients)
FahMon uses an internal lookup table to produce "more readable" core names. The current release was built before GROGPU2-MT existed, so it isn't included in the lookup table.Hawkeye wrote:Project Number Server IP Work Unit Name Number of Atoms Preferred (days) Final deadline (days) Credit Frames Code Description Contactuncle_fungus wrote:The unknown message will only be about the core name, since that hasn't been updated (yet) in the built-in tables.
