Yeah, the data and log files are stored elsewhere and not part of the Uninstaller unless that was added recently. Along with the common files for use by the client such as config files and the folding core executables they are all in /Library/Application Support/FAHClient on the system disk. Unlike v7 the active configuration settings are held in a client.db file. If a config.xml file is present such as after an update from v7 to v8, that is read at startup time by the F@h client. Any applicable settings are copied into the active settings.

The macOS uninstaller pkg will not delete any data.

It will delete some re-downloadable files from the data directory (FAHClient/):
GPUs.txt
gpus.json
cores/
fah-web-control/ (if present)

I'd love to figure out and resolve this issue, but I'm not willing to share my active time with F@H, so I guess I'll have to stop folding. 😔

Logout and switch to loginwindow work on your computer. Is neither acceptable?

Do you have a second monitor connected?
I never tested with more than one monitor.

No, only the built-in iMac monitor. 😟

I'm not clear on what you mean. Log out and log into another user? Or log out all users and leave on the login window?

You can enable “fast user switching” in system preferences and there can be a menu item for switching user or simply switching to login window. This is different than logging out.

It is also different than locking the screen.

Ah, I missed that in fast user switching! I'll try it tonight.

Yeah, that did it, thanks! Not convenient, but it works if/when I can remember to log out at night.
