Core24 download fails

Post by AJMSmith »

I've been getting the following (with slight variations) for just over 2 days (once an hour, started about 0:15 GMT)
02:19:36:WU02:FS02:Downloading core from http://cores.foldingathome.org/openmm-c ... ore_24.fah
02:19:36:WU02:FS02:Connecting to cores.foldingathome.org:80
02:19:37:WU02:FS02:FahCore 24: Downloading 194.80MiB
02:19:43:WU02:FS02:FahCore 24: 11.68%
02:19:49:WU02:FS02:FahCore 24: 25.48%
02:19:55:WU02:FS02:FahCore 24: 39.85%
02:20:01:WU02:FS02:FahCore 24: 54.61%
02:20:07:WU02:FS02:FahCore 24: 70.11%
02:20:13:WU02:FS02:FahCore 24: 85.06%
02:20:13:ERROR:WU02:FS02:Exception: Transfer failed
Not sure what the problem is but I note that there isn't a folder for the core.

[Edit]Again I don't know why but a reboot solved the problem.[/Edit]

I see that you are on this side of the Atlantic ocean ... I'm currently involved with UPenn IT in investigation about these failures.

Do you also see some very slow result upload to servers in the range of 158.130.118.2X (highlandY.seas.upenn.edu) ?

Indeed, I live in the UK. I have no problems with the comms speed but I do find that the return per day of the units is poor.

I'm having this issue as well. When will this be fixed? I an unable to fold because it just retries the download all day, even after restart.
