User stats wrong on webui

Post by hnapel »

On the stats page of the web client I suddenly noticed a lower number of 4.548 WUs completed, while I was already over 5000.
When clicking on my name link, the donor stats are correct "I have earned 759.961.044 points by contributing 5.024 work units."

https://stats.foldingathome.org/donor/id/1294477

I just installed the latest fah-client_8.3.18_AMD64.exe .

Please check if the stats are correct in the alpha web control:

https://v8-4.foldingathome.org/stats

Edit:
You do not need to be running v8.4 to use its web control.
It's currently backwards compatible.

Edit2:
Web Control 8.4 seems to now show NaN for progress of 8.3 clients and incorrect ETA.
So, not so compatible.

Edit3: Edit2 problem is fixed

It's client specific, I do not see it on my other client with version 8.3.17. This links to:

https://beta.foldingathome.org/stats

The alpha web control link you shared also shows the wrong result.

So after upgrading this other client to 8.3.18 it also starts showing wrong results via

https://v8-3.foldingathome.org/stats

When I change this to

https://beta.foldingathome.org/stats

It's showing correct again. So in conclusion:

Alpha: bad
Beta: good
Production : bad

Please track all the code changes between these versions, the answer is in the case files.

Joseph says web control now only shows WUs completed with the currently set passkey, not all work ever done with your user name.

So, behavior is as intended, confusing though that may be.
