Is extremeoverclocking.com off line?
Hello,
Have been having trouble connecting to extremecoverclocking.com lately. No success connecting either via this computer nor iPhone using phone data. Any news about them?
Thanks,
Robby

Re: Is extremeoverclocking.com off line?
I haven't been able to connect to them either this weekend.
I know their server was offline a week or two ago while it was being transferred to a different data center.
I hope this downtime is simply unscheduled remedial work from that move and not something more serious.

Same here. Was able to connect last night but nothing today. Multiple browsers have returned this -- "DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN"

Same here. No doubt that it is offline still.
It has the best monitoring for folding activity. I don't know how else to get the history and other info in one place.
Is the Donor folding history saved anywhere else?

Re: Is extremeoverclocking.com off line?
Whilst EOC is great (and I hope it is back up asap) and is awesome for comparing folders/teams and monitoring progress I have always kept an archive of all my logs which are parsed/spreadsheeted up with additional information from various places so I have a complete record of every wu I have processed. This allows me for instance to track down when I have previously seen error massages (tbh very rare occurrence for my kit) - my average tpf/ppd for any project or overall - total folding time (and "uptime") - average upload/download time per MB by IP and maximum upload/download size - the list is endless - but it does take a fair amount of effort to maintain and nearly all of the information/insight is really only relevant to me!!
HFM is a tool many folders use to do the same as my parsing/spreadsheeting - probably much better for certain tasks and a damn sight less effort and quicker in many ways but again I would still keep my log records as they provide me with a base truth I can always fall back on.
Other than that I believe some teams have their own tracking systems but I am not aware of the details.

Re: Is extremeoverclocking.com off line?
Looks like EOC is back up, just with no stats data since yesterday at 6 AM (my last recorded WU was at 3 AM). Hopefully, the points will get caught up sometime today.
Re: Is extremeoverclocking.com off line?
@comixgoddess: I just read that the hosting data center had a fiberoptic cable broken in 2 places.
From their main page:
From their main page:
Paul"Sorry for the downtime these past 24hrs. The datacenter had their main fiber trunk cut in not one, but TWO places!"
"It took the crews a while to find both breaks and they worked non-stop through the night re-splicing. I believe it was like a 150-200 bundle cable (x2 breaks), and re-splicing fiber is a slow and tedious process."

I can get to EOC just fine, and the forum is connecting to there as well to display your signature with your folding stats.
