I am running W10 on a standard workstation at home.
There are 2 users and I am the administrator.
Installed the FAH programme in standard mode.
Set it at halfpower and to work only when the computer is idle.
Previously it seemd to work when everybody was logged off.
Currently does not seem to work if everybody is logged off.
Does FAH work if everybody is logged off?

No, if you install it in standard mode, a user needs to be logged in, but the session can be locked.
If you install it as a service, it can CPU fold while logged off, but it can never use the graphics card due to how Windows handles permissions to the GPU.

Online: GTX 1660 Super + occasional CPU folding in the cold.
Offline: Radeon HD 7770, GTX 1050 Ti 4G OC, RX580

You have to use Custom Installation to install the client as a service.
Be careful, GPU folding doesn't work with a client installed as a service.

Exactly. The Graphic card must be "owned" by the logged in windows user. The CPU is shared so can fold by the user running the service.gunnarre wrote:No, if you install it in standard mode, a user needs to be logged in, but the session can be locked.
