Lol, the recent CPUs page reports this as an "AMD GPU".belloq wrote:I just a first WU for my Intel UHD Graphics 630. It's slower than my CPU folding at the moment. But I'm not expecting anything amazing from this chipset.

That's to be expected. The Intel iGP is intended to accelerate the rasterization of your desktop. It was never intended to do the kind of heavy computing required by FAH.belloq wrote:I just a first WU for my Intel UHD Graphics 630. It's slower than my CPU folding at the moment. Nevertheless, it is an additional resource that can be used in addition to you CPU provided your power supply and your cooling subsystem can handle the additional loads.

Is there an actual list of white listed GPU's?

Re: Whitelist/Blacklist Change-Log (Greylist)
The GPUs.txt file that the client downloads is both a whitelist and a blacklist. You can also download it from here - https://apps.foldingathome.org/GPUs.txt.
Reading the list each line consists of 5 fields separated by colons - ":". The first two are the PCI ID number. The third is a numeric code for the manufacturer, followed by a "species" number classifying the GPU by capability/performance. The final field is a text field describing the GPU, but only used in the client for display purposes.
If the entries for the third and fourth fields are empty or a zero, the GPU is blacklisted. The rest are on the whitelist, but those with low species numbers such as 1 or 2 may be on their way to not being supported.

Re: Whitelist/Blacklist Change-Log (Greylist)
If you mean a Radeon HD 8330 that is an integrated GPU included with an AMD mobile CPU, no. That is a 9-10 year old GPU that is not very powerful, and the initial information on it was that it did not include double precision support (FP64). The entry for it in the GPUs.txt file blacklists the 8330.

Re: Whitelist/Blacklist Change-Log (Greylist)
Hi, I have some new Nvidia GPUs and wanted to try folding, but they don't appear on the GPUs.txt. They are L40S. How can I go about adding these?
I'm getting the infamous:
15:37:33:FS00:Initialized folding slot 00: cpu:125
ESC[93m15:37:33:WARNING:FS01:Disabling beta GPU slot 01: gpu:227:0. Beta GPUs can be tested for no points by setting ``gpu-beta=true`` in the configuration.ESC[0m

Read the third post in this topic - viewtopic.php?t=26208, and provide the PCI ID number for the L40s. Post in a new topic in this sub-forum.
