FAH not running - Again

Hi

I realised my FAH had stopped running for a few days so I downloaded the latest file version yesterday and all was good again. I switched off my laptop as normal last night (though there was a pc update waiting to start on shut down) and now this morning I find FAH is not running again so I would appreciate some guidance as to what could be going wrong

Welcome to the F@H Forum Rockindowntime,

It seems that your installation is in the wrong directoy so you're encountering access denied.
Your configuration (problematic): Config: C:\Program Files (x86)\FAHClient\config.xml
My configuration (default): Config: C:\Users\PantherX-H\AppData\Roaming\FAHClient\config.xml

I suggest that you have ensure that you have your username/passkey/team details in clear text. Then uninstall the client including the option to delete the data and then re-install with the defaults.

I did what you said, though I had to do a custom install as the automatic was configuring it to the original location which you described as "problematic".

Strange that it ran with no problems as such for 2mths in the original location. Anyway it is running now again and hopefully it will stay doing so

Ok so when I switched on my laptop this morning I checked task manager and FAH had stopped running again.

I went into the config file and changed all the ' to " and rebooted. It is now showing as working again in task manager but was it my edit to the config that sorted it or can anyone enlighten me as to what is happening?

Make sure you always start FAH through the shortcut in the start menu (it sets the working directory), and using the same Windows user that installed the program.
Also, if you install as admin, file/directory permissions might be off.
