MacOS X Freezing
I've got an iMac I've been running 7.5.1 and now 7.6.3 on. It's not much, I have a dozen windows servers that put out 10x as much each but I'd still like to run it on the Mac as well. The issue is that it will freeze every 5-6 hours and need to be hard restarted. I've tested it at light, medium and full load and it still freezes. It also won't properly use the on idle feature and seems to implement a screen saver that isn't turned on or used anywhere else. All of these features work as expected on my Windows machines.

Re: MacOS X Freezing
Welcome to the FAH Forums,
iirc the "on idle" feature is OS dependant in how it works as it depends on how the OS announces it is idle ... but I don't know enough about Macs to help solve this sorry ... The site admin runs at least one Mac so may weigh in with some advice - or any of the other Mac folders ..

Re: MacOS X Freezing
I don't use the "On Idle" setting, it made little difference to me for CPU folding.
From what I have heard from others folding on Mac's though, the On Idle setting will start up folding after about 5 minutes of no keyboard or mouse input. I don't know of any screensaver involved.
As for the freezes, I have not run into that, but one place to check is the console log to see if any errors are recorded.
