Indian Numbering System

Post by Akash »

Please allow for the stats to be shown in the Indian Numbering System(1,00,000 instead of 100,000 and so on). I think it would be easy to code and add.

Welcome to the F@H Forum Akash,

Given that the F@H project started out of Stanford about 19.5 years ago and is now a global system, there are lots of cultural and country tweaks that can be done to be inclusive of everyone. However, given the limited development resources, any development work is based on a scientific priority by the researchers. In that context, changing the number grouping doesn't increase the scientific value/contribution so will be in the backlog.

However, there are plans on making certain aspects of F@H open source so there's always the possibility that the F@H community can pitching in and helping in the development area: https://github.com/FoldingAtHome

I think Python should have an internationalization library ready to use?
