The unchecking is only relevant for medium and high ... with light gpu does not fold

Is this verifiable? If so, when did this change? I've always used the 'Light' setting and 'Idle' option in the past.

Thanks for the info. I've configured my settings so they somewhat match previous performance. I set the power slide to medium, but I limited the threads on my cpu to half. Works great.

I've had this problem with my last two installations. And when you try to remove the cpu, it instead adds another one!

The cure for me was to download and replace the gpus.txt file, but this REALLY needs addressed. I watched a video where a guy was so pleased with himself, his cpu was doing 30k ppd. He had no idea that gpu's were even used...

Your log shows that when FAH was configured, a CPU slot was created and it's working. I can't tell what GPU you have (if any) without seeing the very top couple of pages of the log. If you do have a supported GPU which didn't get configured we can help you with that.

I have also updated to new version and am unable to get my GPU to work. I have tried to uninstall with removing all associated files, with multiple reboots along the way. The GPU had no issues prior to the update. I have tried to add the GPU manually without success. I have attached a link to my most recent log. Any help would be appreciated.

1060. Reboot did not work, GPU-txt file is present. Version before this one (7.5.1) the GPU was working/recognized.

Welcome to the F@H Forum ohpoorme,

With V7.6.9, you have to perform a manual workaround to get the GPU Slot detected:
Manually download the GPUs.txt file from here: https://apps.foldingathome.org/GPUs.txt (right-click save as GPUs.txt)
Exit the client
Copy the GPUs.txt file from the Downloads folder to %AppData%\FAHClient
Reboot your system
Start up the client and ensure that you can see your GPU in the log file
Add a GPU slot from FAHControl -> Configure -> Slots tab -> Add -> GPU -> OK -> Save

Also, you have few ERROR:Guru Meditation errors for your CPU slot which can be caused by file locks. Do you have any anti-virus/anti-malware/anti-spyware/anti-ransomware software that could be causing issues with the files?

Why not set it to "full" in the setting.
Then remove the CPU slot or reduce the cores if you want to have some computing power for yourself.

So the way for me to get F@H to see my GPU again was to place this GPUs.txt file in the program directory for the client, not in appdata. Are you sure the paths are defined ok in this version? Also see my comments on location of log files and database within the program dir.

FAH usage of CPU should be low priority so from an impact to your other usage should be minimal ... GPU folding can impact/lag other work - turning off hardware acceleration can help this ... obviously heat and noise may be another matter and reducing CU cores will improve these.

This worked and my GPU is now active, thank you.

I have verified that F@H is approved with all of my anti-whatever software, I have not seen any other errors yet other than "failed to get work"

The paths for v7.6.9 are correctly functioning for an admin installation. There are some issues around non-Administrator installs.
