Can't change team name

Hi.

I've been trying to update the CERN team name (38188) to "CERN & LHC Computing" for a while.

The first step was to try to get the account ownership (it was owned by Victor Engmark who has left CERN). He has tried to change the team's email to both my work email and my gmail, but everytime i try to get a reset code at:
https://apps.foldingathome.org/team

it tells me the email was sent but i never got it. We tried both emails as i could see in the forum other people were getting the emails blocked - it's also not on spam.

I've tried to create a user passkey using my gmail and the passkey came nicely.

Am i missing something?

Creating a new team to test this procedure and requesting a reset code it came nicely to my email [email protected].

Could you check if there's something strange in the CERN team (38188) settings that is preventing these codes from coming through to this email? According to Victor the team's email is properly set to the same email as above, but i get no reset code.

Will have to check on getting team resets set up for those who run into problems using the form. Not sure how long that will take.

Would it be possible to get this done once for this team or is this issue that generic? There's a long list of people contributing to this team from all over the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) project (potentially 200 institutes around the world) who are asking for the rename. Right now we seem to be stuck.

This issue is generic, some teams have had success doing updates through the web form, others, like you have reported that it failed.

Would there be a workaround for a one time change of the CERN team name (38188)? Renaming it to 'CERN & LHC Computing', so we can keep the ID and the credits. Sorry for asking for this, i get a bunch of people asking every day and i don't have much else i can do .

I manually updated the CERN team name. I'm not sure why you're not getting the emails. Victor Engmark's email address is set for that team.

Thanks a lot. I'll check with Victor again to see why the email did not change.
