Yes, please read the news blog. Dr. Pande is working to launch more GPU projects.

Only saw the news that soon will disappear jobs for 15 core. Given that, and 17 are gone...

I understand that Fermi and Kepler are still getting Core_17. FAH capable drivers for Maxwell are not yet available so the only option available for Maxwell is Core_15 or Core_16 until the driver problem is fixed.

If you're having a problem with Fermi or Kepler, please post the first few pages of the log.

No Core_16 for Maxwell, that core was only released for AMD-ATI cards.

I have the same situation for myself. I have 3 different machines with V.7.4.4 and a machine with V.7.3.6.
Everyone has different GPU and various drivers (GTX 780ti, 780, 750ti and 680).

In recent days I've only got wu 8018 core 15 and no core 17

Is this just coincidence, or is there something else?

In the same period, the AMD GPU is assigned wu 13000 and core 17

Is there a plan to end the core 15 in favor of the core 17, and when will this ever occurs?

Yes. All new projects are core 17.

When all the projects already started on core 15 finish, only projects started on core 17 (or later) will be left.

It would be insane to ruin all the researchers work on current projects by not letting them finish their research.

Out of curiosity, what determines when a project is completed?

Is there a definite target from the outset, or does it run until the researcher considers that nothing useful is likely to be gained by continuing?

Or something else entirely :)

The answer to the first question is more of a Who than a What, i.e. the Researcher.

Yes, always a target, may not always hit it, depends on the research results or lack of results.
Yes, or no. (the end may not be when the useful info runs out)
Yes, or something else entirely. The Researcher graduates, for example.

Research at a University is common practice, with common constraits, not at all specific to FAH. You could probably google it for more info if curious.

All new GPU WUs are core17.

If you're having trouble getting core17, please note that you need to be running the v7 client for several new core17 projects.
