Hi,
I have a Pentium II M 400 MHz machine running Ubuntu 10.04. However, this machine will run XP as well, although it seems a bit slower. The machine has the graphics card specified below, and I wonder what my best options are considering all this:
1) I don't have the skills at this time to compile a custom Linux kernel.
2) Can I sex up Ubuntu to run a GPU client (I don't think so since I can't find one) OR can I set options to utilize the GPU capacity in concert with the CPU?
3) Would it make any sense at all to install XP Pro SP3 and run BOTH a CPU and GPU client?
It does appear that my generic kernel and processor speed are adequate to handle very large WUs in the present config. Any feedback is appreciated.
Best,
Larry

Re: GPU and CPU together???
If this system is dedicated to folding, stay with Linux, and the v6.02 Linux client you already have installed from your other topic on this forum. http://foldingforum.org/viewtopic.php?f=44&t=20008
This system is too old to run a GPU that is new enough to run a GPU client. Sorry. ATI 2xxx or above.
1 linux client is as good as you can do on this system.

Thank you 7im. That's about what I expected, but I wanted to make sure.
