Yes, you might want to change your donor name/team, as that PS3 certificate confirms you are not getting any personal credit for your WUs, as each PS3 on average can complete a WU in six hours and for 250 points, so it would be impossible for one PS3 to be able to produce 1.9 Billion points.Synate.Deszeld wrote:my ps3 cetificate says 1,900,000,000 Sooooo it appears the name ps3 is the only name that ish still at default name i have not seen any other ps3 userslooked at the certificate on my ps3 not my computer

Re: Problems with PS3 Servers Unable to upload WUs
That's what you think. I used my awesome skills to OC my PS3 to 80000 GHz using absolute-zero subspace cooling. And before anyone says "it can't possibly be stable", I ran Prime95 on it for 8 hours without any errors.ONE-OF-THREE wrote:Yes, you might want to change your donor name/team, as that PS3 certificate confirms you are not getting any personal credit for your WUs, as each PS3 on average can complete a WU in six hours and for 250 points, so it would be impossible for one PS3 to be able to produce 1.9 Billion points.Synate.Deszeld wrote:my ps3 cetificate says 1,900,000,000 Sooooo it appears the name ps3 is the only name that ish still at default name i have not seen any other ps3 userslooked at the certificate on my ps3 not my computer

Eh even if it is not my ps3 I do not mind. I think sony needs credit to. I have a Gateway Laptop & an HP Pavilion thats on Team 0 That Has My User Name In Them So I'm Good. Sadly Some Times I have Proceser probs on my HP & have to restart. Other Than that I'm getting some credit as well Besides its for a good cause any ways is it not?

Re: Problems with PS3 Servers Unable to upload WUs
I don't know folks all the PS3 servers appears to be fully functional something must be screwed up badly on my side. i don't know if my PS3 can continue to participate if it wont send ya results something must be screwy in it, It downloads work units fine but it wont upload them so thats like 5 work units going on 6 that wont come to you. I don't know what to do. My PS3 is now currently folding p3462_ProG_hpin I Tried to stop it from downloading it but friggin play station was to fast before i could quit it downloaded the work unit:S. Now what do i do?
Re: Problems with PS3 Servers Unable to upload WUs
If you want to quit, the best way is to configure it to shut down when the current WU is finished.
I suspect you're right about something screwy locally, but I don't know how to diagnose it other than to connect your PS3 to somebody else's network.
What are the Run/Clone/Gen numbers of that p3462 that you're working on? (Check the on-line info page for your WU.) Those numbers may help after you've finished the WU.

Re: Problems with PS3 Servers Unable to upload WUs
hm Not sure. If memory serves me this is the first p3462 I got. I don't wanna quit but if I simulate data & cant return it to you thats a great loss to your cause isn't it? My hp computer is already on its 3rd run my lap top still stuck on its first run & my PS3 is working on the 12th or 13th run
Re: Problems with PS3 Servers Unable to upload WUs
If you download a WU and don't complete it, it does delay the project but the project won't know whether it failed to upload because you quit now or because you couldn't upload it.
Please provide the data I've requested.
Also, please look seriously at setting your PS3 to use the same name and the same team number that you use on your PCs. Nobody really cares whether you contribute to the PS3/0 account or to some other account -- except you.

You don't have to join a different team if you don't want to. A unique username is enough to be able to track your stats separately from the pool of anonymous clients.

Re: Problems with PS3 Servers Unable to upload WUs
You weren't making a mess- as you can see, thousands of PS3s have contributed to the standard anonymous PS3 name, and all the science gets done regardless of which name the credit is attached to. It's just that it's far easier to track your contributions with a unique username.

Re: Problems with PS3 Servers Unable to upload WUs
Man I do find my hp computer is pretty amazing its like started on its 3rd or 4th run dont see how thats possible. I admit they are not HUGE files such as the ps3 files but its still pretty amazing
Re: Problems with PS3 Servers Unable to upload WUs
My PS3s are both at another location right now so I cannot check the exact sequence, but from inside of the PS3 client (not the browser) there's a link requesting more information about the current project. It takes you to a general description of the protein being analyzed. In fact, you can also see all of the Project/Run/Clone/Gen numbers in the query that it submits to the web.
Those numbers are easy to find on the PC, but because Sony doesn't let people look at FAHlog.txt or other files created by the client, they're hard to find in the PS3 client, and you can only find them (AFAIK) for the current project, so you have to write them down before the WU finishes.

What giga hertz processer is a ps3 run? Oh & I Looked at my hp logs this is run four its started on not three but it said it was unable to submit run three tothe sever so its got it in que & currently running prject 4. Is Sony got like a quad core processer or something that makes the ps3 idea for crunching thse HUGE files that yall send to us?
