Moore's law is proving to be true.. and a 1000$ PC will double in processing power ever 18 months..
I heard that they are delayed till Q4 / 2011 (6xxx series)
For folding, not for ppd.

I cannot wait to see more details on the 'Radeon 6K Series' to appear as that could make folding larger proteins easier as I really want to see FAH find a 'cure' for ALS. (My Grandma that lived with me had it.

It's just like 2000 and 3000. I just bought my 2600 XT and a couple months later - 3000 series...
