Re: AMD RX Vega
Has anyone added/corrected the Vega 56/64 IDs in yet? Still haven't heard of any Vega GPUs in action for folding.

Re: AMD RX Vega
Sorry to butt in, but would this ID also work for other Vega SKUs, specifically the liquid-cooled edition, or is that not added in yet?

Re: AMD RX Vega
So hey! I might (just maybe) actually have someone willing to try folding on a Vega64 LCE. Only thing is that it is I'm not sure if it is added to the whitelist yet... does anyone know where to check the current whitelist? And, this topic: viewtopic.php?f=83&t=26208 is still the fastest/quickest...

Re: AMD RX Vega
Ah, I forgot about the GPU whitelist file. And yeah... it is a bit early to be hoping for PPD numbers already with the cards releasing barely 48 hrs ago, on top of stock issues that always come with anticipated releases. Thanks for the info about the GPUs.txt though, I'll be waiting with high hopes ...

Re: AMD RX Vega
Anyone out there with a Vega 64 / Vega 64 liquid cooled and test it with a lot of different WUs yet? I'm looking to replace my Fury X (mainly to have something I can sit on with more than 4GB of memory for a few years) and right now, Vega is looking to just barely meet expectations. Folding@Home per...

Re: AMD r9 Fury X
Yeah, I am pretty psyched about it all. I built a dream machine of a computer about 2 years back, and haven't touched it since. Only thing I really held back on was the video card, so now with some more time elapsed on buying big computer parts, this video card is going to really turn the machine in...

Re: AMD r9 Fury X
Holy F***. You have two of them, awesome man! That is a great CPU as well... I only have a quad core myself. Regardless, I am STILL checking newegg.com multiple times a day to try and get a card. Where site did you end on nabbing your two Fury X's? I'm guessing that as the benchmarks/reviews have co...

Re: AMD r9 Fury X
Okay cool, thanks for all the info on AMD re-onboarding with F@H :) Read this post a bit ago, but I as always, I don't seem to reply to these posts until well after they are old hah. One important thing I've realized I haven't asked yet: what are the temps like under full folding load? I am guessing...

Re: AMD r9 Fury X
fury x can be only called competitive once it is kicking titan x numbers around, and only then ;) it has so much potential. price wise yes. I don't know man. Last I checked, the Titan X was still a $1000+ card, so it's not fair to say Fury X has to compete with that to be competitive :P But hey muz...

Re: AMD r9 Fury X
Huge to me would be simply on par with Nvidia in terms of teraflops -> PPD. Or, maybe even a little aheadbruce wrote:A lot depends on what you define as "huge."monkeyclaw wrote:I feel like if those within the AMD camp do finally start paying attention again, we can see some huge performance gains.

Re: AMD r9 Fury X
Thank you muziqaz for the breakdown of where Nvidia and AMD are both in terms of folding efficiency and output. It's very much appreciated, and I also hold out a lot of hope for some of AMD's people coming on board again and helping to optimize along with the F@H team. I feel like if those within th...

Re: AMD r9 Fury X
Oh wow. So the 377k and 361k... those seem to be competitive with Nvidia's 980 Ti, right? And oh, I didn't realize that Core18 on Nvidia was an improvement for their Maxwell cards, and that AMD can't get them to work right just yet. I thought that the Nvidia cards just had too much trouble with the ...

Re: AMD r9 Fury X
Hey Sven (or anyone else with a Fury X that is folding), any updates on what the different PPDs are for the different WUs, and what the average and/or high end of the PPD seems to be for the card? I'm quite curious myself about just how much science the Fury X can pump out

Re: AMD Cat 15.3 beta 3 @ 7970 @ FAH
Was wondering this myself... so all newer cards from AMD still suffer a folding hit with the new drivers? Boo, hope to see that improved soon. Thanks for filling out the issue report with AMD!
