Re: psummary upgrade
Have p5913 and p5914 the correct number of points in psummary ??
I'm folding them in ~45-50 secs per frame on my 9800's.
They are down as 1888 pointers but thats the speed of the 353 pointers or the like.
Luck ..........

Duplicate work-unit from 171.64.122.70
I've just been hit by the duplicate work-unit bug big time from server 171.64.122.70 I've two copies of p5906(4-636-102), p5906(12708-30), p5906(1-615-75) and four copies of p5906(1-621-61) all folding from this server all within the last couple of hours. Just a quick heads up, as its the first time...

Re: 171.65.103.162 assigning same WU twice
Just happened again for me. Two of my GPU clients on the same box but with different MachineID both picked up p5774(3-12-54) at ~14:52:06 Tigger G1. Re: 171.65.103.162 assigning same WU twice
I've had identical work-units, the same P(R,C,G) numbers, on a couple of my computers in the past. It happened when two clients on different machines asked for the same type of work-unit at the same time. I think I got points for both work-units folded as its a slight sever glitch and not a user err...

Re: Machine ID's
Sorry guys, I still don't fully understand. So you're saying each of the 32 machines don't need a unique machine ID? I plan on installing each client by hand. If what I gather from these posts, they can all have the same machine ID???. A clientsID is made up of two parts. The first part is UserID t...

Re: Machine ID's
Stanford records three things from each client. User Name and team number, so Stanfords knows where the points go, plus the clientID, so Stanford knows where it sent the work-unit. A clientsID is made up from two parts. The UserID, which is downloaded from stanford, and the MachinedID, that you set....

Re: Duplicate Work-Units.
I've probably done well over 13k work-units on this box spread over 8 GPU cores and this is only the 3rd time I've seen it happen.
In each case the two clients have asked for a work-unit at the same time and got the same one.
Luck .........

Re: Duplicate Work-Units.
Just picked up on another pair. I'm crunching p5016(9-702-5) twice. It seems to happen when the box downloads two work-units at the same time. This time both connected to the work server at 10:00:17. I'm just reporting it in case its a glitch. Or does Stanford send out a few of copies of each work-u...

Re: Duplicate Work-Units.
The box has been up for well over a month unattended.
Its running 8 nVidia GPU clients.
Its only the second time I've seen it grab duplicate work-units.
The time before, two of the client down-loaded the same work-unit at the same time.
Thanks for the heads-up.

You need to setup a SMB/samba share so that your Windoze box can see your Linux files. An ordinary share will only work within you local Linux network. I used the second half to this -> http://www.hardforum.com/showpost.php?p=1027699992&postcount=7 <- post to setup my samba shares so that mine w...

Re: Resuming work unit after installing new OS
Its preferable to copy the UserID but not vital. Normally Stanford will cope with the change of UserID and you will get credited for the work. Its when the servers have crashed when thing can get a little bit pear shaped. It then you can send the work in and Stanford looses it, so you get no credit ...
