Re: GeForce 7200 GS
Thanks for the advice. I suspected it was too old, that's why I checked before I spent the time to try it.

GeForce 7200 GS
I have an unused desktop with an old processor that will not produce much work. It has a dead graphics card and I have a brand new in the box GeForce 7200 GS. Is this card capable of FAH, and any idea of the PPD it might do? I'm trying to get an idea if it's worth my time to mess with it.I know very...

Re: 7.6.20
I'm currently at 7.6.13. If I pause folding, download and run the 7.6.21 installer file, and then restart, will it pick up where I left off on my current CPU and GPU work units without loss of completed work?

Re: Running CPU + GPU results in lower PPD than GPU alone?
How long did you pause the CPU? You need to let it run for a few percentages before the client's PPD estimate becomes reaonable. After your suggestion, I did a longer test and paused the CPU and let the GPU run alone for over 4 hours and complete 9.5% of the WU. During the pause I lost about 8,200 ...

Re: Running CPU + GPU results in lower PPD than GPU alone?
Both my CPU and GPU are thermally throttled on my laptop, so as an experiment, I selectively paused the CPU slot and PPD went down, and back up when resumed, so at least in my case, running both at the same time is best.

Re: 64 bit vs. 32 bit?
Si I take this as the answer to my original question: The components of the folding client you listed are not the parts that do the actual folding. For Windows they only come in a 32-bit download as 64-bit code gives no advantage.. The parts that are 32 bit don't drive folding speed, so my installat...

Re: 64 bit vs. 32 bit?
Well I guess the heart of the question is since I should be running the 64 bit version, why does my System Info tab on FAH Control show FAH Client, CBang, and libFAH show all marked as 32 bit. Am I misinterpreting this information or does this mean I'm not actually running 64 bit?

64 bit vs. 32 bit?
I have a 64 bit processor running 64 bit Win 10 with a default installation of FAH, yet my System Info tab on FAH Control shows FAH Client, CBang, and libFAH are all marked as 32 bit. I can’t copy from that log window. Here are the configuration lines from the log file. It seems to indicate 64 bit. ...

Re: Collection server of 0.0.0.0
Well that was a surprising answer, I'm glad I asked. That unit just finished and seems to have uploaded properly. All is well.

Collection server of 0.0.0.0
My current GPU block (project 14909 (262, 10, 11) (work server 129.213.157.105) has 0.0.0.0 assigned as the collection server. Is there any chance this will get fixed at or before completion and upload time, or is this absolutely doomed from the start and should be dumped? I seem to get ALL the prob...

Re: GPU work progress resenting backward
Here is all I have of the log file. It starts from the point where i first re-started the machine after the first progress reset, continues through what I think is the second reset and continues past this line about half way down: 02:31:04:WU01:FS02:0x22:Checkpoint completed at step 0 where the resu...

GPU work progress resenting backward
I opened my computer this morning (I fold 24/7) and noticed the GPU slot 41,500 points was 99.99% complete and was due to finish in 15 seconds. I know that sometimes, like in football, those last few seconds sometimes take longer than advertised. I was expecting to watch it finish, send the finished...

Re: Frequently downloading work units with expirations too s
I'm not sure what to do in your case. You are on the right track with deleting the slots and re-creating them. I use one CPU slot and one GPU slot, so I only have to delete and re-create the GPU slot which is the only one that ever has the problem. I don't know how it would work with two CPU slots. ...

Re: Frequently downloading work units with expirations too s
Just wanted to apologize for the Moonshot server downtime. We had two different failures occur at once here: The first was the work server not coming back after configuration updates; the second was that some WUs were sent out without a collection server attached... We're also extending the deadlin...

Re: Frequently downloading work units with expirations too s
Generally speaking, cherry picking is when donors dump WUs that don't provide them a high enough PPD even though they can fold it before the expiration deadline. In your case, since the assigned WU can't be completed before the expiration deadline, you're dumping it which is a workaround. I would p...
