Re: Help

The Windows clients listed for Vista will work for Windows 7 as well. I would suggest running the -smp clients for higher points, and you could run four uni-clients for less headaches. An AMD quad core will not do -bigadv, but I think I used to get 5000 points per day on my 9950.

Re: [Poll] 4 cores / 8 threads significance in -bigadv folding

So if PDC is not PG and they are indeed a donor, where are you going to put the 400 votes for PDC's systems? Are they running Intel or AMD and are they running 2P systems then.....?

Re: 171.67.108.22 (bigadv) Missing credits?

I just got a re credit of the standard 50K today, but I don't know why....... The only work unit I know of that I did not initially get credit for I did get a re credit of back on the 12th of April. I am at 60% of the current work unit... I think there was a mistake. As you can see in the pic every ...

Re: Project: 2681 (Run 3, Clone 3, Gen 89)

I seem to have taken a hit too. I did not receive points for this work unit. Re: Electrical Costs

Wait, you mean you need to actually use land for Solar power? No, no, not in my back yard. I want my power to come from magic green renewable fairy dust....... Same thing here on the east coast. They wanted to put some windmills out in the ocean because the wind is pretty steady there... ...

Re: Electrical Costs

Little update just for grins. Custom built Server: 4 AMD 8356s @ 2.3 GHz, 8 gigs RAM, ubuntu server 9.10 -power usage while folding on 16 cores ~425 watts -bout 40,000 ppd depending on work unit - so about 94 points per watt efficiency -costs me $44.37 a month in electricity at 14.5 cents per KWH Cu...

Re: FAH Core Interrupted Project 2683(Run 5, Clone 5, Gen 14)

This client has been running big work units good for about a month now. The machine usually doesn't dip into the file swap with 8 gigs of ram and an 11 gig swap it usually uses less than 6 gigs of ram and no file swap.
I would be really interested to see what happens if someone else gets it.

Re: FAH Core Interrupted Project 2683(Run 5, Clone 5, Gen 14)

I did get it up and running on another unit no problems. I am definitely leaning towards a work unit problem. I posted here due to the unique nature of the -bigadv project, but if the mods see fit I hope they move the thread wherever it needs to be. Thank you for the input though Rick, if they don't...

Re: FAH Core Interrupted

I tried to delete it, but I kept getting the same exact Work unit back, and always had the same result. I have had zero problems up to now. I think there might be something wrong with this particular one. I finally got a different work unit after 2-3 attempts and it is working fine. Just a heads up....

Re: Is there a way to auto-track my wu/ppd?

If you go leave FAHMON running then go to tools and benchmarks, it will keep a little bit of a history.
