Ability of score points rating of the the same HW type only
Ability of score points rating of the the same hardware type only Hi! As I know the hardware used to folding can be video cards and CPUs. I fold with CPU only (it is fanless mini pc). All points I got originated from CPU folding. In my folding condition/mode I have near 15K per day. Some users has ...

Re: FAH infrastructure failed to load clients with payload W
I realized that for last several days (about a week, may be two) I do not see any problems with FAH infrastructure: -) new WU successfully downloaded before current WU is done; -) uploading result of folding is excellent (but previously was not bad also). So, now infrastructure itself works well for...

Re: unable to fold on 7970 under Linux, Windows10 runs fine
Hi! I am a Manjaro Linux user but have CPU-on-die videocard and folding on a CPU only. So if old method clCreateCommandQueue was removed from nowadays OpenCL API and sometime ago it was added as new (cause Joe_H mention OpenCL dev package was required sometime ago, may be years ago ), so may be to t...

Re: "Waiting for idle" on Manjaro Linux
Hi, Curtis! I am a Manjaro Linux user. I use FAHClient w/ CLI software and FAHControl w/ GUI as AUR packages. I use FAH since March, 15, 2020. And folded only about 50-60 WUs but I make it able on fan-less mini pc, made several experiments and shared that info . Yes, fan-less PCs are weak, but what ...

How to fold on CPU of fanless PCs and milti-core experiment
Date of experiment: March, 31, 2020. How to fold on CPU of fanless (passive cooling) mini PCs and comparison of folding power (CPU performance) vs CPU temperature vs CPU power consumption. I have fanless mini PC w/ no videocard. Videocore is inside of Intel Core i5-8250U CPU chip (release date: Q3'...

Re: FAH infrastructure failed to load clients with payload W
Previously item (3) was checked while FAHClient was already running. Now checked start of FAHClient and found lack in item (3) : if to start FAHClient in idle mode w/o any WU downloaded earlier, then FAHClient will wait idle time to start connection to get WU. So idle time dedicated to high-load cal...

Re: FAH infrastructure failed to load clients with payload W
I've completed investigation on how idle mode of folding affects network activity of FAHClient . Before WU processing will be completed, I stop folding and execute it in idle mode with 2 minutes idle delay. Shortened log : $ FAHClient -v --idle --idle-seconds 120 14:59:40:INFO(1):Read GPUs.txt 14:59...

Re: FAH infrastructure failed to load clients with payload W
davidcoton, Joe_H thanks for clarifications! Do you have specific problems with the client? Joe_H confirmed client's lack in (4)th item. Also (2)th item: still think what 4 hours delay to check connection is too much wasting time. may be 1 hour is better. But you know better than me. I just suggest ...

Re: Never starts at idle
Hi! Thanks for help for mankind! I am ordinary user like you and also using idle state of PC for FAH Client. I run it on Manjaro Linux OS. I am using FAH client from Arch User Repository (it is for Arch Linux based distros, which Manjaro is) v7.5.1. I think it is official client. What definition of ...

FAH infrastructure failed to load clients with payload WUs
Hi! Thank you for the idea of share folding power! I start folding at home since about 15 of March, 2020. My client processed about 30-40 WUs and successfully uploaded results. I fold anonymously. Besides constantly log messages such as WU00:FS00:Connecting to 65.254.110.245:8080 WARNING:WU00:FS00:F...
