Laptop batteries when on AC power
Since I hardly ever travel with my laptop, it runs almost exclusively on AC, rather than the battery. Does it make any difference if I leave the battery in place or remove it?

Re: Answers to: Reasons for not using F@H.
Which version do you have? I took a look, and version 4 seems to be best, AFAICT. Version 5 seems to have gone backwards, due to the fact that they reversed the fans direction. At least according to the review that I read. Actually I have a 3 that I got on closeout. When I was researching them ther...

Re: Answers to: Reasons for not using F@H.
Yeah, my machine averages about 18h a day, whether it's on mains or not. Of course battery life is shorter, but the fans don't worry me (just the people trying to sleep next to me :-) ) Bummer about the noise. I can't hear the fan on my laptop or on my chill-pad. I run my machine pretty much 24/7 -...

Keeping software current
As long as F@H is downloading new cores as needed, can I assume my software is up to date? Is there ever any need to download a client again as long as everything is running smoothly on the same machine I always use?

Re: Answers to: Reasons for not using F@H.
Common reasons people give for not installing F@H, and the counterarguments... Won’t running my computer at full usage all the time damage it? Modern computer chips are precision instruments, they are designed to be able to operate continuously at full speed without degrading. A typical example of ...

Re: Communication With Team Members - How?
PM them once, get their email address, and then no problems communicating with your team via email. Oh, thank you. But to begin with, in order to PM someone I need a user name. Now, before lots of other people spend time trying to help (as this forum's users so wonderfully do) or to figure out what...

Re: Communication With Team Members - How?
Thanks, anyway. Other than this problem I like the new forum. It's cleaner and seems better organized. Kudos to all involved. I just wonder where I'm going to get my Viagra from now on . . .

Posting info vs. Signature info
Hi. I'm suddenly confused about the whole "team neutral" thing. I read and thought I understood the information about not referring to team specifics in our postings. Yet I see people including team specifics in their signatures. Can you help this make sense to me?

Communication With Team Members - How?
Hi again to anyone familiar with my name. Being a "late adopter" I have just now gotten onto the new forum. I understand that the team threads have been eliminated, apparently due to recruiting, and probably other issues as well. Being "team neutral" must have its advantages. How...
