Are there any tools like FahMon that I can use to monitor the Status/Progress/PPD/etc.... of my Notfred SMP Clients on my Vista Ultimate x64 WorkStation?

Fahmon can do that ... but you must enable network share in your notfred's installs before.

I enabled Windows Networking when I created the Image, using WorkGroup (like my other 2 systems), but my Vista can't see the Notfred-system - Is it because I only run it from CD and didn't install to USB-key?

I am using vista x64 and notfreds, if you can monitor them through ip ( can you? ) you might have to enable vmci and set the vm network adapters to your trusted zone? Works over here, though I'm not even sure you need to enable vmci I just did because I was having issues as well, but I changed the firewall policies at the same time and since it worked I thought I'd just leave it like this. VM isolation isn't that important I would recon when using a notfred iso lol :)

I don't even use VMWare - It's a pure Diskless system - Just Motherboard, CPU, RAM, VGA-card & DVD-Drive. I can follow the progress (log-file) in my browser on the IP-address given. It should be a walk in the park..... :e?:

No, not installing to USB won't stop it from showing up on your network.

Basically the procedure is to right click in the top window of FAHMON and select Add Client.

Click on the browse indicator to the right and double click on Network. Give it 30-60 seconds to find any available shares on your network.

You should see something like Fold-XXXX and from there navigate to \c\etc\folding\1\ and press enter.

I noticed you said you changed the name of the workgroup to workgroup. I have always left that as the default diskless and have not had any problems finding the folder, but I can't say that has anything to do with your problem. Everything under that choice on the CD creation page I have left blank.

p.s. If you want to get WUs that use the more efficient a2 core change advmethods to disabled.
