18496 empty viewer frames

Post by arisu »

Same issue as viewtopic.php?p=354539 but for project 18496. Nothing in the logs or core.xml indicates that view frames were disabled intentionally.

The "viewerTop.json" file:

Code: Select all

{
  "units": "ANGSTROM",
  "atoms": [],
  "bonds": []
}
All the "viewerFrame*.json" files:

Code: Select all

[]

That's up to researchers to configure. And quite a few of them don't really worry about it too much. Or they don't know how to configure :)

It looks like vvolez is the project manager. I assumed that lacking viewer frames would count as a bug, like lack of a description. Not a big deal (a lot of projects have half-broken viewers anyway due to being zoomed too far out, probably the bounding box is too large). I just thought I'd report it here anyway.

It is possible that frame generation needs to be set up upon project set up.
I'll ask Vince to look into this
