This system with an amd rx 580 have been running for years.
And now suddenly the gpu is disabled after a restart of the system and the workunit it was working on was dumped.
The system itself and the gpu are running fine.I use version 7.6.21 on windows 10.
Tried to remove and add the gpu slot, but that doesn't help.
No idea what to do.

Solved.
Somehow the gpus.txt got damaged and was full of NULL.
Downloaded a new one and its working again.

The question is how and why it got damaged. Internet connection not dropping packets? Is your storage healthy?

The gpus.txt file may get damaged if the client is started before the system has proper internet connection. I usually wait with logging in until the network symbol on the login screen shows the network is up.
