[Closed] Fedora app.foldingathome.org Web Control Issues

FAH provides a V7 client installer for Debian / Mint / Ubuntu / RedHat / CentOS / Fedora. Installation on other distros may or may not be easy but if you can offer help to others, they would appreciate it.

[Closed] Fedora app.foldingathome.org Web Control Issues

Post by Zev_Oster »

I have been folding for about a week now. I have a passkey protected donor name and an account with the website. I have successfully been able to send units up, with the strange caveat that although the account knows that I am part of a team, the statistics don't yet.
Although the localhost:7396 works without any issues, when I try app.foldingathome.org, After logging in and entering the relevant information, it countinuously fails with 404 when it tries to connect to the websocket for fahclient. The localhost is running, and the program is folding catalysts of halogenation as I type this. I honest have no clue how to resolve this. Here is what the F12 console has to say about it:

Response Headers:
HTTP/1.1 404 HTTP_NOT_FOUND
Cache-Control: no-cache
Connection: close
Content-Length: 42
Content-Type: text/html

At this point the stats show that you have completed and returned just one WU - https://stats.foldingathome.org/donor/id/722450572. If your logs show more WUs processed and returned than that, provide that information and that can be looked into. You can also post the first 100 or so lines of a log after startup that will show the system and configuration information.

The website is undercounting the number of WUs I have done, even though the stats from the normal website correctly state that I have done two work units.

I just discovered that I am acutually on version 7.6 for some very complicated reasons. I am going to close this for now.

Still just two WUs reported as completed and turned in, the second returned about 14 hours before the time I am posting. The first WU did not show a Team, and apparently you had not entered a passkey yet at the time it was processed. That would result in the first WU not showing in the Web Control, that reports stats based on your username and passkey together, not just your username.

Same information would be needed if you are using version 7.6.21 to troubleshoot problems like this on our end. That would be log entries showing the upload of a WU giving the Project, Run, Clone, and Gen for each one. The v7.6.21 log will also include the IP number of the servers they were uploaded to. The first 100 lines of the log will show the system information and configuration of the client.
