Move FAH data directories off SSD to HDD

Is there a way to move FAH 8.3.18 data directories and working directories to another drive? When I installed FAH it is on my C: drive which is a SSD and since installing I've noticed a much more rapid decrease in the lifespan of my SSD, went from 97% to 88% in the space of the summer.

As such I'd like to move it to my external Mirrored HDD pair.

I’m not a Windows expert, but I would guess you could (NOT TESTED)

1. set folding to finish
2. when finished and paused, uninstall fah but do not uninstall data
3. move the existing data directory where you want it
4. reinstall fah, selecting your moved directory as the data directory

It is possible the installer can move it for you, but I’m paranoid.

Does the installer even give you the opportunity to set it? I do not remember seeing this as an option.

I believe it does, but haven’t used it for months.

It does ask.

When you move the data dir, I recommend you use a subdir.
E.g., E:\FAH\FAHClient

First ask is Destination, which is where the program is installed.
You can leave this alone.
If you change it, I recommend using a different dir than for data.
Always add a subdirectory for the path, for safety and cleanliness.

Second is for the Data. Choose the data directory that you moved from SSD.

A reinstall will not move the data dir for you.
