2662 : Invalid unit

Post by dschief »

running 6.02 client with -SMP flag set and have gotten 2662 twice, each time an error msg occurs
saying "work unit read from disc is invalid" But the client continues to run it's now at 1%

the project summary has this with GROCVS; Everything else I've run is GRO-SMP

with the -SMP flag set should I even be getting this Wu?

Did you read the thread I linked to? You may want to delete your current core so you get the new A2 core.

I did that last night, deleted everything ,got new core,
got the same Wu back again 2662 run 2 clone 85 gen 10. And when I got up this am , the system was froze again. this time at 18%

there is something definately wrong with this Wu and/or A2 core!
I have another rig running 2662 Run 0 Clone 160 Gen 0. And it is hosed also, while the wu is running
other aps are lock out. IE: system Monitor won't open, I can't launch a second terminal etc.

But as soon as I CTRL C the Wu, All of the windows/ terminals I tried to launch suddenly appear

UPDATE: Just shut down a third rig, 2662 again this one froze at 5 %, right after completion and upload of a 2605
Perfect score 3 rigs running 2662 & 3 rigs locked up! Shuting down until 2662 goes away

We had a problem with the old core version (1.91) still being posted in some of the download locations. If you delete your old core and try one more time, see if the version # says 2.00 (Linux) or 2.01 (OSX). Hopefully that will fix the problem.

Ok, I re-booted all 3, got 2662 R0 CL 160 G 0; 2662 R2 CL 239 G 0 & a 2605

both of the 2662's came with A2 ( 2.0 ) dated 7/9/2008 13:11:25 PDT

On the 2 2662's , mouse ops seem quicker, I can now open & close additional terms.
System Mon. shows 97/98 % usage with a occasional bump to 100%
mem usage is right around 628 Mb

Will post any changes & will check-in if they finish & up-load.

thanks
