Fedora Silverblue using podman/docker fah-gpu-amd: No OpenCl support detected.

It seems that a lot of GPU problems revolve around specific versions of drivers. Though AMD has their own support structure, you can often learn from information reported by others who fold.

Fedora Silverblue using podman/docker fah-gpu-amd: No OpenCl support detected.

I might have a bit of an unusual setup, but all things considered, it should be working. I am running the docker container version of folding at home on podman in a Fedora Silverblue system with ROCm. The container ignores my GPU whenever I try to run it. This is the command I used to start the container:

This should have everything it needs to have a functioning GPU be given to the container and use opencl for compute. I had this system working on arch linux with no major problems. I don't know if I'm missing something here or if there is an issue that I would need to resolve to get this to work. If not, I might submit this as an issue on github. SOLVED. Did not take me long to solve it. I know mods have not approved this yet so they can decide whether having this up is helpful or not. It was an issue with SELinux which Fedora has enabled by default. I found the solution in the podman documentation.
In rootless mode, the new device is bind mounted in the container from the host rather than Podman creating it within the container space. Because the bind mount retains its SELinux label on SELinux systems, the container can get permission denied when accessing the mounted device. Modify SELinux settings to allow containers to use all device labels via the following command:

$ sudo setsebool -P container_use_devices=true
