If you are using the beta version 8, click on the "start folding" button. It won't give you options to pause immediately or finish the current work in it and then pause.
If you are using version 7.6.21 then you right click on the appropriate slot (s) and select finish.

Fold them if you get them!

With v8, you click the pause button and there will be a pop up to either pause now or finish then pause.

Note that the finish pause is not sticky on v7. After the unit finishes, you need to explicitly pause it, or it will fold again when the client is restarted.

And here I was so sure it was the other button. That's what happens when I reverted back to 7.5.21! Good catch.
And good note on the "not sticky" point as well. I personally think they SHOULD stick until modified by a user, but that's just me.
Fold them if you get them!

Re: Stop after current WU completes?
There is a pause-on-start option that can be added and set to true on the Expert tab of FAHControl. This will make all slots have Paused status when the client starts up.
