"It hides "good bacteria" from the immune system - enabling them to reach tumors undetected." Good bacteria hides tumors; if so why wouldn't antibiotics be used, in conjunction with, the drug targeting the tumor?
It must be the actual tumor producing, bacteria for protection, that cannot be correct as it says 'good bacteria. How do good bacteria, learn to protect or shield just tumors? How does 'good bacteria' benefit, from the masking, is there a symbiotic relation, btwn good bacteria & tumors? If I were to guess, the good bacteria becomes corrupted by the tumor, for tumor survival.
