cublinux & folding software

FAH provides a V7 client installer for Debian / Mint / Ubuntu / RedHat / CentOS / Fedora. Installation on other distros may or may not be easy but if you can offer help to others, they would appreciate it.

cublinux & folding software

I downloaded all three folding packages from folding@home but I can't install them. Please advise

i had to google what cublinux is... looks like pretty much another debian/ubuntu fork, so my best guess is a python2 dependency problem. Solutions abound within this forum, best of luck.

As best as I can tell, Cub Linux is defunct, last development 3-4 years ago and based on Ubuntu 14.04. So it may be missing dependencies from later revisions of just about everything needed for the F@h client.

Based on what I could find, my suggestion would be to move to a newer Linux distribution, Ubuntu 16.04 or 18.04 based would have the least issues.

If you have an old PC, Lubuntu 18.04 might be a good alternative.
