Unable to connect?

Wierd one, I have 7.6.9 installed under Win8.1

Installed, ran perfectly fine after installing.

After a reboot I am stuck at "Connecting" to 127.0.0.1

Firewall rules should be OK, although I only allowed FAQClient

if I need a firewall rule, what component needs it?

Can you please post the log file? You should be able to get to it from %AppData%\FAHClient if you chose the default values.
