passkey match?

Hello,
I registred an account a few days ago. I receivec email with Username and Passkey. I had been folding until today. Today I had to restart my PC, which turned off the application. After launching the application, there was no account associated, so I filled the details from email, but it seems to be someone elses account. Last commit is from 2018, when I had no accout at all and there are 0 point. When I click on 'see stats' from web view, it leads to account with different username and different team.
https://stats.foldingathome.org/donor/171412
I copy paste both the username and passkey, so no error there.
Also, some config files and folders have been created on my Desktop, but there where none before and I dont want all those files and folders to be there.
Any advice? What am I doing wrong??
Thank you

Welcome to the F@H Forum 171412,
Generally speaking, the client tends to survive a system reboot. It is virtually impossible for it to change directories upon a simple system restart. Can you please provide a list of file names you see on your desktop? Alternatively, you can post a picture here (do note that you will need to host the image externally, e.g.g Imgur or others).
Also, can you please post your log file, details and guidance is provided here: viewtopic.php?f=24&t=26036

The stats you see are for a different person who happened to use the same username 2 years ago. That is a lookup on name only as shown by the URL and shows point they earned back then, the WebControl display is based on both username and passkey.
Lookups that are unique combine username with team or passkey. The username and team lookup will be unique as long as another person on the team did not use the same name.
It can take a while for stats on returned WUs to be recorded in the stats database, that would be the most likely reason your own points have not shown up yet.
Not sure what happened from the restart, but it sounds you you started the FAHClient process directly instead of using a shortcut that should have been set up. The shortcut has the correct paths defined to use files in your %AppData% directory, not the Desktop.
There are some topics posted here on fixing up running on a Win10 install, you could check for those until someone more familiar with the details of doing this on Windows comes along.

@PantherX:
On the Desktop, there are these folders and files: \configs \work \config.xml \FAHControl.db \log.txt \GPUs.txt
Log files are at the end of this post.
@Joe_H:
Okej, I will wait a couple of days and see then.
No, I actually started the client by shortcut, which has this target parameter '"C:\Program Files (x86)\FAHClient\HideConsole.exe" "C:\Program Files (x86)\FAHClient\FAHClient.exe" --open-web-control'.
Log file from appdata is too big for posting here, hence the link:

The files on your desktop are F@H related but it shouldn't have happened under normal conditions.
In the log file that you uploaded, things were off to a bad start
14:11:06: CWD: C:\Users\jelinek\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\FAHClient
Where as by default (if you're running from an Admin account), it should be:
04:02:34: CWD: C:\Users\PantherX-H\AppData\Roaming\FAHClient
The log file in the post has a different directory:
13:07:02: CWD: C:\Users\jelinek\Desktop
I am not sure what happened to your installation but it might be better to start off with a fresh installation. However, when uninstalling, chose the option to LEAVE the data behind. Once uninstalled, ensure you have a clear-text copy of your username/passkey/team and then manually delete the following folders:
FAHClient folder from C:\Users\jelinek\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\
F@H files from C:\Users\jelinek\Desktop
When you do a fresh installation, I would suggest that you use the custom option but don't change any settings... just note the directories which should be:
Main program: C:\Program Files (x86)\FAHClient
Working data: C:\Users\PantherX-H\AppData\Roaming\FAHClient

I am guessing that when you installed F@H you did not choose express install. That is a dangerous directory you have chosen, as the default uninstall will try to remove all files from there, almost certainly not what you want. I would back up your Desktop before uninstalling.

May well be the latest driver for your graphics card and OS.
