I am running version 7.6.9 and whenever I am folding something and open the viewer I am given an animation of a very cluttered purple square. Anybody else having this issue?

Welcome to the F@H Forum Dustbunny300,

Some Projects have that due to the protein that they are folding. I can't remember what the purple colour represents but it's more of a "visual" clutter than an actual issue (bug).

Some of the settings in the projects and the folding core are a bit off. What you are seeing is the water that is the solvent surrounding the protein. With the right settings that is removed from the visual data put out for the viewer to display. It is one of the items on their to-do list to better document the correct settings to be done at the time a project is put together.

I think we managed to fix this in core22 0.0.5! The issue was that we were repartitioning masses between the hydrogens and heavy atoms to enable the use of larger timesteps, but the viewer used the atom masses to detect water molecules so was no longer hiding the molecules. When you auto-update to 0.0.5 (or if you delete your core to force re-download) it should be fixed!

For the problem persists :(
It's not the pink borg cube, but very pink nevertheless.
