I have a GPU that will not run with the error messagee:

pause the client. Open your windows file manager

go to %APPDATA%\Roaming\FAHClient

delete the work directory

re-start the client

please let us know if this solves your problem

Thanks for the reply. This is a Linux client. I paused the client and deleted the /var/lib/fahclient/work directory and rebooted the server. The client returned to normal function.

As you know this also aborted the WU for the CPU.

You can delete more precisely by using the WU## shown in the log for the slot with the issue. It corresponds with the work/## subfolder.

yes, I am aware of that, but I was told to delete the entire work directory.

Some people get used to just having a GPU slot active, forget that others might have a CPU slot as well.

2 GPUs in this system. I had one froze for the CORE_OUTDATED message.

The topology message is not detrimental to the simulation so, no, do not dump. It is more of a cosmetic error and the message will be removed with the next version.
