In the previous versions of F@H, the client will check if GPUs.txt exist in the AppData directory or it will download a copy if it did not exist.
This was used a workaround for installations with 0 byte GPUs.txt or to solve some GPU related issues.
However, in the latest 7.6.9, when the GPUs.txt is deleted and F@H restarted, it will be stuck in a "Connecting" loop without downloading the GPUs.txt.
The only way to restore the function is to GPUs.txt from the recycle bin or manually copy-paste.

Re: 7.6.9 - Stuck Connecting if GPUs.txt deleted
Please note that you can manually download the GPUs.txt file from here: https://apps.foldingathome.org/GPUs.txt (right-click save as GPUs.txt)
I have heard few issues related to this so am guessing that the developer is already aware of this issue.
