I installed the client, control, and viewer packages from the AUR. The FAHControl package works, but I can't figure out how to start FAHClient. I would have thought typing in into my terminal would start it, but it was an unrecognized command, even after I restarted my computer.

Any tips?

As I remember, you need to configure it from FAHControl, then start it from there. While you can start it directly, it isnt beginner level and it requires some console knowledge, not to mention some knowledge of scripts and nowadays systemd.

Open FAHControl, enter user information, then unpause the client. Manage, monitor and update settings as needed.

try that and report back.

Have a look here, this is to configure it on Arch linux (Manjaro is a spin off of arch, so it should work for you)

If you installed fahclient from the aur, you need to start fahclient with systemd ( sudo systemctl start fahclient ).

AFter I installed it from https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/foldingathome/, I was able to start it using - see if that helps

The key is to *enable* the foldingathome.service with systemd to start Folding at boot.

FAHClient is nice to have, but you can also use the URL http://localhost:7396/ in any browser to do everything the Client can do
