Does the AMD 5700 XT Indeed Work?

I somehow got to read this post that says the newest series of 5700 amd gpus doesnt even work on folding at home. If this is true, I would basically like to know, and why it wouldnt be posted here anyways as 1/2 of the market in video cards. If you have any real knowledge that would be helpful as I plan on purchasing one next month and giving my rx 580 to my cousin. If it doesnt work I will buy the 2060 RTX Nvidia.
