Well the title says it all. When I first got the laptop start of spring, I didnt give the vega 8 the chance to get through even one work unit, at least it got them. It is the same speed as a 750gtx, i have that a r9 380 thats not hooked up and a rx 580 that is. Im hoping to get a sli/crossfire board and add one of the new amd cards that goes 10,000 gflops. I love this thing

ive got units before, like start of spring when i got the 2500u with vega 8, same as a 750gtx. why waste it.

I have not been able to determine if the iGPU in your system supports Double Precision or not. This is a requirement for all new projects ... and many old ones.

Please post the segments of your log (see below) showing the first couple of pages plus a segment showing the error, itself.

I also need the codes associated with that GPU ... which can be obtained by running GPU-Z or by running FAHClient --lspci

The Vega 8 is listed as supporting GCN v5, and does Double Precision.

AMD Vega 8 is already listed in GPUs.txt. Please post the first couple of pages of FAH's log so we can confirm which OpenCL driver is in use.

Try changing your cause to "ANY" and restarting the client (reboot) just to see if it makes a difference.
