Project: 13741 (R 131,C 2,G 48) [Missing core update]

My machine is trying to download this, but it is going nowhere.
It hung like this for over a day, I deleted folding suspecting software problems, reinstalled Folding, but by chance or otherwise I'm back where I started:

Ik hope someone can make sense of these logs?

An updated version of the A7 core was recently rolled out, and assignments updated to require it. From the log it appears that the updated core was not propagated to the download location for Windows 64-bit. For now I would just suggest pausing the CPU slot.

I will send a message to the developer for the folding core, hopefully that can be corrected quickly.

you mean, put Folding on Pause and see if tomorrow that core has been updated in the meantime?
No elegant way of just throwing this away and getting a working WU until this has been cleared up?

You can try, but there's no guarantee it won't reassign the same WU.

In that log, the current WU is 01 and the current slot is 00. From the command prompt, enter FAHClient --dump 01

(Dumping WUs is strongly discouraged except in really unusual circumstances like this.)

I expect the new FAHCore will be posted shortly in response to Joe_H's report.

Was your log still showing the client downloading a new core that still was being reported as version 0.0.11?

Sorry, didn't think about making another copy of the logs. Superficially it looked the same, but I didn't take note of any details like the one you're asking for now.

The current FAH log is on disk, along with a backup copy of the last 16 logs that have been created. You can always search there.

If you have not restarted FAH and you use the Advanced FAHControl, you can scroll back after doing a refresh.

I'm afraid you may be overestimating me on my computer capabilities.
I wouldn't know where to look for those back-ups, and Explorer search gives no return on "fah log"

I'm not sure "overestimating" is the right word. FAH's original design makes it difficult.

WHen FAH is installed on Windows, it installs specific shortcuts that can be used but Windows10 puts them it a place that you may not think to look.

If you look near the top of the log, you'll see a line reading
... CWD: C:/Users/Gebruiker/AppData/Roaming/FAHClient
which points to a directory that Windows likes to hide. If you look there, you'll find all of FAH's work files. (Please don't attempt to alter any of them, but looking at them is okay.)
