I just started folding yesterday. I have a Radeon HD 7660G. It failed on project 8900. Now the status is "waiting for idle". I am folding on a laptop, which is limited as it is. I could make a lot more progress if the GPU was running. Please help. Thanks in advance,

Welcome to the F@H Forum Big Nate's BIG Fold,

Can you please post the log, especially the initial section which contains the system configuration and F@H settings (viewtopic.php?p=225958#p225958)? This will help us troubleshoot your issues.

Are you using the latest WHQL Drivers from AMD? If not, I would suggest that you update it. Also, since you are running a laptop, when folding, is your GPU temperature within acceptable range? You can use GPU-Z (http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/SysInfo/GPU-Z/) to find out more about your GPU and how it is performing.

The status "waiting for idle" means that it is waiting for the F@H screensaver or for power management settings to turn off the monitor before it will start folding. If you want your GPU to fold even when you are working on your laptop, then please move the slider to "Full" position and this will ensure that the GPU will continue to fold even when you are working. However, please make note that you may experience screen lag; slow mouse movements, applications taking time to minimize/maximize, etc. If that happens, the easiest way to avoid it is to let the GPU fold when the system is idle.
