Don't folds on arch linux {AMD Driver Issue}

Hello pals. Good evening.

On arch linux, you can install f@h client by aur, or just download any version of this (debian, fedora, centos) and execute manually (what I do)

Even with "gpu=true" the client don't uses the gpu. I've set "cpus 3" setting, cause I've a phenom X4, but don't folds.

Something wrong? unsupported distro?

Can you please post the initial section of your log (within the Code Tags in Full Editor) which shows the system configuration and your fah settings? Do note that there was a brief downtime with the GPU server so it should now be resolved.

Currently, we do not support AMD GPUs under Linux since the drivers of AMD aren't mature enough. Once the drivers are mature enough for F@H (and tested/verified), you can fold with those GPUs in Linux.

Please note that there were too many issues with FahCore_17 under Linux and some of the underlying issues were caused due to AMD drivers. Once those issues are resolved and FahCore_17 is verified to be scientifically correct, only than we can release it to the Public for Beta testing or in general. There are no ETAs as to when that will happen.

If you are interested in FahCore_17, please have a look at this thread where you will find links that are very useful if you want to help us out -> viewtopic.php?f=16&t=24208 :D
